2011 Comcast Colorado-Eagle Ride Event Wrap-up and Highlight

SOS Outreach would like to thank you all for participating in the 10th annual Comcast Colorado-Eagle River Ride. It was incredible to have raised over $50,000 for our charity. The SOS staff and Board of Directors were so inspired after listening to stories about the ride, and seeing a number of satisfied smiles at the finish line. Some of you accomplished your first century, while others participated in your first organized ride.

Our goal is always to organize the finest ride possible. Every detail from the morning preparation to the aid stations, and the post-party food had be thoroughly planned and executed. We wanted you to take home inspirational stories to your family and friends so they, too, may be inspired to start pedaling. Here are some of the facts:

  • 864 total riders
  • 496 rode the100 miler
  • 268 rode the 68 miler
  • 99 rode the 42 miler
  • 14% increase over last year's total participants
  • Farthest rider came from London, England
  • Youngest was 11 years-old and rode the 68 miler
  • Oldest was 79 years-old, who rode the 100 miler
