The beautiful century route goes North to Leadville, along the scenic rolling hills of Turquoise Lake Road, around the Mineral Belt Trail passing aspen groves and conifer forests, meandering through the historic Leadville Mining District, and back to Buena Vista in the shadows of Colorados highest mountain peaks. Nearly all of the climbing is completed over the first 60 miles of the ride, with the last 40 miles essentially downhill to flat! Riders also have options to take shorter routes including a 40 miler, a 50 miler, and a metric century (62 miles) while still enjoying the Collegiate Peaks magnificent scenery.

Competitors of all ages and abilities will be able to race on the original Hill Climb course ridden by legendary riders such as Greg Lemond and Bernard Hinault back in the late 1980's. The course record of 26:33.43 still belongs to Giro d'Italia champion Andy Hampsten, set during the 1987 Coors Classic. The race is open to both recreational and licensed road cyclists, with winners crowned in age group racing categories.

Lap The Lake is a road cycling race consisting of 1-Lap (15 miles) or 3-Laps (43 miles) around scenic Turquoise Lake. The event offers unparalleled mountain views as it winds counter clockwise on Turquoise Lake Road. There are a number of climbs and decends with a low-point elevation of 9,655 feet and a high point elevation of 10,700 feet.

The Denver Post Ride The Rockies is an annual bicycle tour that takes 2,000 cyclists on a 6-7 day ride on paved roads through Colorado's Rocky Mountains each June. The Ride The Rockies route is different each year, but always climbs a few challenging mountain passes and showcases Colorado's spectacular scenery. Daily rides can be as short as 35 miles or as long as 100 miles, but generally average 60-65 miles.

If you challenge yourself to go the distance, the 100-mile route will take you to Carter Lake, then on to the infamous switchbacks leading up to Estes Park through Glen Haven. Even our shortest routes have GREAT views of the mountains.

Join Bacchus, the Roman god of wine, along with 1000 cyclists in celebrating this bicycle tour of Colorado's Wine Country. This 25-mile ride through the vineyards of the Western Slope gives the cyclists an opportunity to pass by the area's wineries, as well as acres of fruit orchards and vineyards. The "Festival in the Park" begins shortly after the ride concludes (11 am) and is an additional highlight to the day's activities.
